Here’s a photo from 1/16/2008. I was trying to take a shot of some Lake Superior birds toting their youngsters on the big pond for a nice chilly swim lesson. I don’t think you can really see anything other than dark blobs, snow, and water…but oh well. It’s the thought that counts.

I really need a camera.

I watched Office Space yesterday so I could feel normal again at work. It worked.

Another day of working, relaxing, relaxing…and relaxing.

I couldn’t get any work done, primarily because of technical issues which can/do work in my favor. Somewhat. I played a lot of GW with Kat and friend Frea(ign, of course). That was fun.

I got my cellphone to spit out its information to me. I can now take pixelated photos and video. Actually the shots could be a ton worse, imo. The real problem is that I’ve discovered that the output results of the camera and whats displayed on the screen prior to saving the image are totally different in some cases. I’ve discovered that I have to maintain the camera focus on an object an additional 1-2 seconds after the “shutter” clicks in order to have the saved image match the “temporary image” that shows up on the screen with the options to discard or store. You can see some of my handywork on the right. I will probably be snapping random pictures of things…

Speaking about focus…here’s me taking a picture of a drink at a local pub. This was new years 2008. The distortions measure my level of intoxication. Who knew!!??!

I have other pictures of things like birds chillin’ in the winter shallows on lake superior. And other stuff. Cool, eh?

Speaking about cool…I wish it’d cool down in here. No amount of water is too much right now.

Rant of the night to propel the sleeping process: laundry machines. The machines I’m using currently need to have their labels changed to appropriate levels in strength and temperature. Primarily the words “shredder” and “volcano” should be used, respectively. And they need to be cheaper.

So I just have to say this now before I go into some long posting about nothing…the next time I stop blogging for over a week I’ll try to get a life.

What’s new?

Hmm. I’ve decided that having a zillion IM programs is bad. Well…I guess here’s how it is. I have maybe 10 friends in the whole world. Probably less gauging from various lack of responses to emails and the like. And I have 6 common IM clients that I have used throughout the years: AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN, Gtalk, and Xfire. I also have skype..but that’s not the point. What is the point is that I literally talk to only one person on each one. I’m really tired of having so many outbound connections sitting idly by…so you probably won’t see me on any IMs but gtalk or xfire these days. I got sick of all the useless ads from aim/yahoo/msn, the alternative open source programs do NOT meet my expectations and 90% of my total friends list ignores me. So there.

Those who speak to me regularly know my feelings about work. If you don’t speak to me regularly and you care about my career at all ask. I have an earful.

I converted my current blog skin to a blog skin for my friend leyelei. Her new blog is up and running at leyelei.com. I’m in the process of creating a new blog skin now. Maybe I’ll wind up farming that one out as well!! Who knows!!

Friend Kat & Will introduced me to AVGN recently. His movies can be found at http://cinemassacre.com/AVGN/Nes_Nerd_videos.html. Even though it’s pointed out on his website I’ll mention it’s for so-called “mature audiences” only. Not with kids. Not with your mother. Not with AVGNs mother. Not at work.

I’m sure there’s more to talk about but the Nos is wearing off from my late night stint in the office and I should probably be getting to something worthwhile…like pretending I sleep.

Went to Grandma’s with friends. We ordered the wings’n'rings appetizer platter. They “garnished” the broccolli and carrot sticks by taking an onion ring and filling it with bleu cheese dressing. wtd!?!
